1965 Phase Two
RESCUED! This 1965 Phase two was brought to us after receiving a
replacement frame five years earlier. The car visited three other
Healey shops in unsuccessful efforts to complete, before being
brought to our location for a successful conclusion. The frame was
ill fitting due to manufacturing errors and shifting during welding.
The suspension mounts were misaligned from side to side by 1 1/2
inches. The car could only be driven with undersized tires due to
the placement of the right side suspension mounts. We cut the
suspension mounts, parts of the frame, and corrected the
misalignment due to the shifting during the manufacturing of the
aftermarket frame.
The body was aligned to perfect tolerance and gaps. Car was
repainted using our top quality base coat clear coat urethane
paints. The paint received our typical finishing with hand blocking
and polishing to a high luster. The car was finished to our highest
standards and received our standard 100 mile test drive and
mechanical sorting. Client was thrilled to have his car back in time
for the late summer 2009 driving season. Our total turn around was 4
months.
