Restorations designed for the client demanding perfection.

Thru our 35 years of experience and successful completion of over 300 restorations in Austin Healey and other British marque's, we have developed production methods which have dramatically improved the efficiency in restoration. We have developed a production line method of restoration. Each of our technicians works in a team approach and handles a particular area of the restoration. Each technician has become a specialist in their area of specialization and is accountable for their function in the overall quality of the restoration. The result is a higher quality restoration in substantially less billable hours than the traditional style of restoration. Less billable hours translates into less cost to the client without sacrificing the quality of the restoration. Although we have specialized in Austin Healey, we have restored numerous other Marque's, such as Jaguar, Triumph, MG, Rolls Royce and Bentley. We have also performed restoration on numerous American vintage automobiles.

AVOID RESTORATION NIGHTMARES!:  Numerous times each year we are contacted by collectors and enthusiasts to assist them in resolving problem restorations with their cars in other shops.  Some of the restoration have been stalled for a year or two, but some have been stalled for decades. Our current record holder is a 28 year stalled restoration in Indiana. At times we have assisted the client in obtaining a work agreement on the car, and managed the completion of the restoration in the original shop. In some cases a member of our staff will travel to the location where the car is located and handle all aspects of the inventory, appraisal, photo documentation, loading, and transportation of the vehicle to our shop. Our rescues have taken us as far as New Mexico, Florida, and North Eastern Canada.

AVOID PRICING NIGHTMARES!:  Many restorers will rely on the open check book approach to pricing a restoration.  As long as your checkbook is open, they will keep the invoices coming. A hand shake and a promise with a verbal estimate will usually end badly for the client. If a shop cant tell you what it will cost to restore your car, they are either inexperienced in your type of car, or they are unwilling to tell you the real cost. Annually, we have numerous situations where collectors have paid 150% to 200% of the original verbally estimated amount.

AGREED PRICING AND SCHEDULING:  At British Motor Corporation we will provide you a written, detailed agreement for the restoration before work commences.  We will provide a payment schedule which is directly tied to the completion of production milestones of the restoration. We only invoice you when we supply proof that the production goal has been achieved. All production is photographed, documented and forwarded to you via email. Our agreement includes ALL items needed to complete the restoration in writing.

REFERENCES: Feel comfortable with your choice of a shop. Before we will accept your deposit, we strongly urge all prospective clients to speak to some of our previous client references. Reference list supplied upon request.
