All of our cars are supplied with complete rebuilds of the engine, transmission, suspension , electrical system, hydraulics, and structure of the car. Cars are finished using the highest standards. Our cars are built to Concours quality and have competed and won numerous major Corcours competitions.
All of our restorations are designed for the client demanding perfection. Our process has been developed over the past 20 years of specializing in British Marks of Austin Healey, Triumph, MG and Jaguar. We use a independent British car specialist to recheck our cars after completion and complete 200 trouble free mile test drive prior to releasing the car to the client. This process insures 100% satisfaction and the highest quality possible. We strive to maintain the finest panel fit and finish in the industry.
Process:
Cars are disassembled to the chassi leaving the suspension in tact.
Frame and suspension is sandblasted and self etch primer applied imediately.
Frame is checked and adjusted for proper tolerances, and dimensions.
All flooring is removed and frame rails checked for rust on the top surface between the flooring.
Frame sections are once again checked and repaired to original standards using correct mil steel.
Original flooring when in perfect condition will be reused. Any rust thru of original floors requires replacement.
Sills, door shuts and door pillars are also replaced for any rust thru.
Engine is sent to outside machinist for complete rebuild and updating to No lead standards.
Body panels are chemically stripped and acid washed, conditioned and primed but not repaired until they are refit to the body.
Body is refit to perfect standards repairs to all metal panels using butt welds.
Metal is reshaped to standards requiring little smoothing agents.
Exterior panels are removed so final welding can be completed and finish of the interior and exterior welds can be completed.
Body refit to check quality, tolerances and fit.
Exterior finish body work completed and car receives its first coats of Urethane primers. Body disassembled, body repair completed on inside of all panel including the fenders, doors, shrouds, hood and trunk.
The frame also receives finish bodywork preparing it for paint.
All exterior panel receive their interior paint and clear coat service.
The frame also receives refinishing as does the engine bay, cockpit and trunk.
Refit rebuilt, resurfaced suspension.
Engine, transmission, hydraulics, electrical system and cooling system refit into car.
Body reassembley to check fit.
Final body adjustments and paint preparation exterior.
Remove doors, hood and trunk.
Repaint exterior panels.
Wet sand and polish paint.
Reassemble body
Refit new windshield
Refit new side windows and original vent glass.
Refit redipped chrome
Refit new interior
Refit top
Refit new dash
Refit rebuilt gauges
Refit
Test drive car until qaulity is correct.
Transport car to independent mechanical shop for retest and 100 trouble free miles test drive.
